A traditional English-style cider with earthy, musty apple aroma, a rich amber colour and a tart apple flavour that displays a natural firm tannic structure, intense cider-apple flavour and a mouth-filling texture.
Somewhat like a red wine, this cider pairs well with cheeses and charcuterie and is suitable for slowly sipping on its own.
Our winemaker, Norman Lever, has fashioned this cider using a blend of heritage apple varieties grown on our orchard in West Gippsland, Victoria. These varieties were traditionally used in England’s West Country and this cider has been made in that famous style.
Norman calls to the history and roots of these varieties while maintaining the sophistication and excitement of a modern Australian cider.
This cider has been prepared with care here at the farm where we grow, crush, ferment and bottle all of our beverages. In this cider, we hope you will taste the sunshine, rain, wind and years of hard work that makes Bellevue Orchard so unique.
